"Unkind" and "If You Were" were deemed singles by Conscience Records in 1997, and were generously worked to alternative and rock radio via Concrete Music and Skateboard Marketing. The label went above and beyond to give the band a shot at some college radio exposure, and went so far as to finance 2 very well packed Remix EPs.

Martin Atkins (Pigface/PIL), Chris Randall (SMG) and many more talented artists created unique remixes to build out a very fun a creative side-offering to the "More Human Heart" album, and at to some degree, kept the bands INDUSTRIAL reputation and past very grounded, even if some of the main album material veered into more experimental and alt-rock territory.

Special thanks to Jen Kriesel and Eric Bohnenstiel for their constant support, belief and hard work to give this band a shot in 1997. There are cathedrals of memories and love and passion the band built with their help at a magical time in New York City which would be impossible today. Big loving memories to Coney Island High, Dizzy Izzy's, Hogs n Heffers, The Bank, Rexx Arkana and RAS DNA, Hanzel und Gretyl, Kritios Boy and many many more.

Formed in 1988 as Acumen by Jason Novak, the band released several cassette demos in the early 90s. In 2000, Novak launched Crack Nation Records. Between 2002 and 2008 the band would release several more albums, tour and promote and play with side projects Czar, DJ? Acucrack and Fawn, but the death of long-time member Jamie Duffy in 2012 put the band on permanent hiatus. ... more
