Psycho the Rapist is the last full album release from Acumen Nation. Written and recorded in tandem with DJ? Acucrack's "Humanoids From the Deep" in 2007, the album is a return to mostly solo material for Jason Novak, closing down the project as it started (albeit with live drum contributions from Dan Brill).

A concept album about the darkest, most abusive corners of the mind (sampling heavily from the film "Session 9") the album closes with the 10 minute opus "Acumen Trepanation", the ultimate inward spiral, a track that can easily be identified as the bridge to CZAR, the next project in the Cracknation catalog. CONTAINS BONUS MATERIAL.

Formed in 1988 as Acumen by Jason Novak, the band released several cassette demos in the early 90s. In 2000, Novak launched Crack Nation Records. Between 2002 and 2008 the band would release several more albums, tour and promote and play with side projects Czar, DJ? Acucrack and Fawn, but the death of long-time member Jamie Duffy in 2012 put the band on permanent hiatus. ... more
